This iconic show began in 1987 as a promotion for a rural art gallery in Nelson. Its founder, Suzie Moncreiff, had a vision to exhibit art in the form of a live theatrical show. Each year over 150 garments are created by designers from all over the world to showcase them on stage in a distinctive theatrical extravaganza with stunning sets, dance and music, lighting and world class choreography. World of Wearable Art is more than an art exhibition or a fashion show. Every year tickets and hotels sell out earlier than the last, so we have secured Star Package tickets and accommodation. The Star Package guarantees great seats, and includes a goody bag containing a full program, your choice of wine, a bottle of water, and gourmet snacks.  Once we fill our rooms it is unlikely that we will be able to get more, so be in quick! We will drive to Wellington on the Saturday, see the show on the Sunday evening (5pm) and return to Whakatane on the Monday.
