About Us

TERRY TOURS was established in February 2008 by John and Helen Terry.

John, originally from Wolverhampton, in England, has been a tour driver/guide for numerous international coach operators in Europe, the UK and Ireland for over 20 years. John’s wealth of experience has been put to good use as a Transport Manager for two UK coach operators. In his travels John has met many people from around the world and has developed an understanding of different cultures and clients' needs.

Helen, originally from Whakatane, NZ, left NZ in 1988 and after spending a year in the mountains of Japan, moved to the UK. She quickly developed a keen interest in travel and hospitality and began working for an international tour operator in London. Helen then became a UK/Ireland tour guide where she too met people from many countries. She then spent some time in airline reservations in London before starting a family. Helen has recently completed five years in the travel retail sector and now works full time with Terry Tours. 

Between us we have over 47 years experience in the tourism and travel industry. We recognise the need for quality service in tourism and have developed a company to reflect this.
